They were brave
And strong
And broken
All at once.
As a creative entrepreneur, many times I have some bright ideas and I am trying to figure out if creating this site to journal and share our journey of healing was one of them. What I do know is that I am a very private person, but as God did when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in February 2012, He is leading me to be transparent about our loss. I also know that I don’t quite know who I am anymore. All I know is that my heart aches; there are often times that I feel as though I cannot breathe; there are times that I blame myself for the miscarriage because as a mother I had 1 job – to keep my baby safe and I wasn’t able to do that; the sound of silence from people not reaching out is deafening; and things will get better…eventually.
Not that any of this matters, but I hold degrees in both Psychology and Human Resources Management – and currently working toward a doctoral degree in Higher Education. I am a MOMpreneur – Creative Director of Ivori Nicole Events™, professor, author, speaker, mentor, Chief Operating Officer of the Warren Community Cares Foundation, and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
